Woody Griffin is a native of Greensboro, North Carolina, and the cornerstone of Brown, Ward & Haynes.  With nearly 40 years of experience practicing law in Western North Carolina, he has built a strong reputation with both clients and attorneys. Woody is well versed in wills, trusts, estates, business law, real estate, and municipal law.

Woody is a member of First Methodist Church and currently serves as attorney for the Town of Waynesville.

John L. Ammons
John L. Ammons is a native of Haywood County, North Carolina and returned to the mountains to practice law in his hometown of Waynesville. He graduated from Tuscola High School in 2000 and Wake Forest University in 2004. He graduated from Georgia State University College of Law in 2007.

Mr. Ammons is active in civil, religious, and professional organizations. Among other activities, he is a Deacon at First Baptist Church in Waynesville and is active with the Young Professionals of the Haywood County Chamber of Commerce.

M. Chase Wells
Chase is a native of Murphy, North Carolina and loves practicing in the Appalachian mountains. Chase has focused his work in trial advocacy, proving himself instrumental in several trial organizations.  He represents clients in both civil litigation and criminal defense, and also has a talent for contract drafting.

Chase sings in the choir of First Baptist Church with his wife Kathryn and volunteers as a mock trial coach at Waynesville Middle School.
