Woody Griffin is a native of Greensboro, North Carolina and is the managing attorney of Brown, Ward & Haynes.  With more than 30 years of experience practicing law in Western North Carolina, he has built a strong reputation with his clients and other attorneys while focusing his practice in the areas of wills, trusts, estates, business law and alternative dispute resolution.  He currently serves as town attorney for the Town of Waynesville.  Woody has had experience as a trust officer for more than three years with First Union National Bank (now Wachovia Bank).  Also Woody is certified as a mediator by the North Carolina Dispute Resolution Commission.

Woody is an active member of the Waynesville Rotary Club and First United Methodist Church.  He formerly served on the local advisory board of the Salvation Army.  Woody enjoys fly fishing for wild trout in the clear mountain streams of Western North Carolina.
